| The British Columbia Hotel Foundation (BCHF) was incorporated in March 1997 to raise funds for worthy charities, primarily focusing on the Association's 5-year commitment to the British Columbia Paraplegic Association (BCPA) to assist them in their quest for an improved quality of life for people throughout British Columbia who, on a |  | |
daily basis, deal with spinal injuries and other physical disabilities. At the end of our commitment, the BCHF contributed almost $250,000 to the BCPA.
Hoteliers, in various communities around the province of British Columbia, have greatly contributed to assist in enhancing the lives of those less fortunate through various fundraising efforts such as Fun Runs, Honorary Associate Membership, and participation and sponsorship of our Annual Charity Golf Tournament. It is the Foundation's intention in the new millennium to raise funds for various charities throughout BC.
The Foundation is planning innovative new high profile approaches to fundraising, which will demonstrate the sincere commitment of hoteliers to support and give back to their communities. Through these continuing activities, the BCHF will certainly help many individuals and families "open doors to a brighter future" .
In addition to our Annual Foundation Golf tournament, we now have a program underway to raise money for charity.
